Grant Program

Penn Security Bank is pleased to offer a First Time Home Buyer Grant Program for homebuyers who qualify as low to moderate income borrowers and apply through Penn Security Bank for their first mortgage loan. Eligibility will be based on household income. Additionally, qualified borrowers will receive a below market interest rate or fee reduction on their mortgage.

 



 

 Program features 

  • Assists low to moderate income borrowers:
         Lackawanna County––$56,500* | Luzerne County––$56,500* | Monroe County––$66,200*
         *Borrowers household income may not exceed 80% of the median income listed above
  • Will match borrowers’ qualified funds up to a maximum of $1,000 per household
  • Qualified funds may include gift funds
  • Offering below market interest rate
  • Funds may be used for closing costs on a home purchase
